Bonjour, readers! If there are? Haha! Love is in the air this month of June as wedding bells are ringing, lovebirds are kissing; thus, because of the kilig feelings that are definitely floating everywhere! What better way to intensify this “love month the second?” Eat your heart out and visit the City of Love! But, not everyone can afford to go to Paris... Or Iloilo... And that is why, Paris is brought to us! En route to The Culinary Capital of the Philippines, Pampanga! Just two hours away from Manila, you would find yourself in awe of the beauty of Clark because of its untouched nature, historical tourist attractions, and out-of-the-country feels. More so, when you spot the high-brass tower replica of Gustave’s Eiffel Tower and taste the extravagant European dishes in this restaurant called Paris City Café. This Paris City Café, from the name itself, is a French-themed café that can be found in the developing Mabalacat, Pampanga. And! It actually just celebrated its first restaurant anniversary this April. Congratulations, Paris City Café! :)
And just like my impression when I saw the mini-Eiffel Tower, the food in the café did not disappoint. The menu ranges from soups, salads, entrées, pasta, sandwiches, and of course, pizza! Also coffee, frappes, cocktails, cervesas, and desserts. In just PhP 200 or even lower, you can already order and taste Paris! The fam had Pizza Grande, Carbonara, Butterscotch Beer frappe, and Red Velvet cake (plus French macarons on the way home) which are all thumbs up! I love the sweets the most. The cake is tall, soft and moist, plus the toasted coco strips are a surprise that blended very well overall. The five-pieced macarons, on the other hand, left me speechless. Both bread and filling, ugh, so good! Gotta try the meat and seafood main courses the next time. It gets me excited, oh-em-gee! It was only three in the afternoon when we arrived in the resto by the way. You can seat anywhere you like but the crew would assist you as well. I was able to go in and out, back and forth, up and down before the sunset and roamed the place. However, when the moonlight came, the place got jam-packed then. Paris City Café is huge since it has seats inside and outside, even has an al fresco dining on the second floor but, if you are coming in the evening, know that dinner time is their peak hours. To lessen the hassle, it is possible to make reservations. I also suggest sitting on the sides that overlook the tower to feel the vibe of Paris more. For me, Paris City Café has consistency from the ambiance to the food to the staff -- commendable and praiseworthy. Any spot in this restaurant makes an amazing view. Yeap, very perfect for dates and hanging out with friends! Looking on the outside, seeing the Eiffel Tower, sipping a cup of tea, spending time with the people you love? Ahhh, I fell! Thanks to Paris City Café, a Parisian dream came true despite being inside the country. This will do for now. But the real Eiffel Tower, you are next! Soon! In time :) Je t'aime quand même! 💖Paris City Café Manuel A. Roxas Highway, Clark Freeport, Mabalacat, Angeles City, Pampanga https://www.facebook.com/ParisCityCafe/
