Crossing Serendra to Bonifacio High Street, near and almost in-between Fully Booked and Seda Hotel, you would see two pop-up stores: IRVINS Salted Egg and Tiger Sugar. You may be puzzled why there are long lines there. That is because good reviews about these food joints have been proliferating, not just in social media but, in the whole world. Lengthy queues, five-star reviews, and international brands -- yes, those are what these two outlets share in common. In addition from them all, both of the stalls created history by taking the BGC food crawl by storm! Dada and I got curious with IRVINS Salted Egg and Tiger Sugar and we wanted to know if these are truly pop and not just a fad, so, we decided to verify the mania by ourselves. Since September 2017, the famous IRVINS Salted Egg has seized High Street crazily because of its salted egg-flavored potato chips and fish skin offers. Despite its hefty price per bag, people had lined up even before its opening hours. There were days where limited packs of five were only given for every person in order to accommodate all the ones who want to buy. Consumers have raved about this Singaporean label because their chomps are truly one of a kind! The lines sorta lay low already, yet, the taste of these sold-out egg snacks never changed. Of course, seasoned as salted egg, these scrunches have salty and sharp quality. Made from eggs; therefore, the chips are less fatty and contain less salt. Indeed, much healthier compared to the other hunger pangs in the market. I must say then that: IRVINS Salted Egg treats are really, really, really #DangerouslyAddictive and #DangerouslyMasarap! And for 2019, a small pack of 105 grams is now priced PhP 320 and the big pack of 230 grams for PhP 620. Across IRVINS' outlet is the trendiest and the newest Tiger Sugar. This popular Taiwanese milk tea shop opened its first store in the country last December 2018 and most probably, you have seen the tide on Facebook and Instagram because of its brown-striped quenchers. Though there are a lot of milk tea parlors around, Tiger Sugar nevertheless stands out -- thanks to its unique choices of impressive gulps that are totally must-tries! Plus, these refreshments range from PhP 80 to PhP 120 only! So, when Dada and I saw the waiting line shorter than the usual, started at Typo and not at the BHS sign, we thought of giving it a chance. Even if the line seemed shorter, it still wasted us more than an hour before reaching the counter. If you are attempting to try Tiger Sugar, expect this blockbuster, especially that the hype is not dying down. Yes, its tiger-streaked syrup seen in the transparent cup looks definitely appealing but, knowing that the store actually uses fresh, rich cream for milkier taste in its signature boosters supports enough justification why Tiger Sugar needs to stay in the milk tea gaming field. One pro tip: Shake the cup for 15 times to taste the best flavor of your drink! Yeah, you are welcome. The verdict? Is it not obvious? IRVINS Salted Egg and Tiger Sugar are very pop, reason why they are topping up! Wow, flip top?!? Hahahahaha! Not sure if they are neighbored to each other for a reason but geez, the milk tea and chips are good partners for an afternoon stroll around Bonifacio Global City! After buying the refreshers and the munchies, Dada and I headed to the park near Central Square and chilled. Afternoons like this -- endless conversations you do not even realize the time passing by + IG-able, inexpensive, luscious milk tea + yummy salted egg-flavored potato chips + golden hour with the cool wind in the midst of the city + us together -- I love, super love, really love 💖

One lovely afternoon, I got some tweet notifications from my friends slash officemates, Denisse and Sheene. Yun pala... Deni invited us to eat at the newly opened Taco Bell in SM Mega Mall, just a few walks away from the office. And since the timing was also good because of payday, g, of course! Together with our other pals, Cjay and Ate Wens, we had our lunch together at Taco Bell in Building A. Yay for Four Sisters And Cjay lunch out like this! 💖 Taco Bell is a Mexican food chain that offers classic yet special made-to-order tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and nachos served in an a la carte or combo options. It also has vegetarian meals, desserts, and fountain drinks. For this visit, I ordered the Double Taco Meal (PhP 159). It has two tacos: one in a hard tortilla, one in a soft shell; with nachos on the side and a Pepsi-product drink. This is my first time to try Taco Bell and I love how generous they are! The served tacos are prepared with a variety of meat, fresh vegetables, and classic cheese that made my tummy full and feelings filled. The price I paid was indeed worth it. And this is why I am glad this outlet opened. The one in Cubao was the only branch I know before, eh? It is far from my home so yay yay yay, no need to go there just in case I wanna get such authentic taco and nacho fix, woohoo! :) Talking about the ambiance... Taco Bell in Mega has modern designs that are very chic and notably hip. The graffiti walls look like an artsy doodle at first glance, but actually, it says "Taco" on the left side and "Mega Mall" on the right. The vibrant colors of yellow, orange, and blue dominate the place -- giving not only food goals but also feed goals achieved onto the next level. Taco Bell's slogan: Live Mas is emphasized in the store as well. "Live Mas" or "Live More" animates the brand's philosophy in enriching life not just in tacos per se but, to inspire people to do the things they have been wanting to do. And it is just so cute, huh? How simple tacos can have a deeper meaning, teaching people about the way of life. How amazing and very inspiring, awwww 💖 Taco Bell Various locations: https://www.zomato.com/manila/restaurants/taco-bell https://www.tacobell.com/ https://www.tacobell.com.ph/ https://www.facebook.com/tacobellPHL/ I have this Save 2019 challenge with myself as I am planning on my upcoming travels and hopefully, as I am starting to save pennies for my future home. These are the main reasons why going out every weekend and eating in fancy restaurants would be a little bit lessened. But! This does not mean that I will stop blogging. This just makes sure that I will be choosing the more quality ones, the worthy ones. And so for my first food blog post this year, I have decided to share about Bistro Ravioli. After twelve days, Dada and I had our first official date this twenty-nineteen. Me and my love have been eating in this lavish bistro that honors original Italian cooking. And at last, I now got the chance to tell Bistro Ravioli to you guys! I super love the Italian cuisines and this restaurant satisfies my Rome-ance cravings every effin' time. Bistro Ravioli, an authentic restaurant from Italy, is the perfect place for pasta, pizza, ravioli, and all Italian cuisines in between. To mention proudly, this resto has a cook-to-order policy which means: the chefs would only cook the meals when you order it -- assuring you that the sumptuous dishes are freshly prepared from the finest ingredients and are warmly served at your tables. Dined in at Bistro Ravioli - Glorietta 3 one fine Saturday this January. Since it is a bistro, expect that space is just enough and not that big. This branch has almost ten tables lined up as if you are in the Western countries eating in an al fresco. The tables' set up have paper placemats with European design. And even if it is just a small kiosk, the ambiance does not suffer. The lights, wall decors, and flowers deserve a thumbs up. I appreciate the efforts taken and commend them for that. All kinds of pasta from Bistro Ravioli are handcrafted. Because of this, the noodles are softer and indeed, more absorbent than the usual. As the noods soak to the well-seasoned sauce, a sublime pasta then results. Taste Spaghetti Alla Carbonara or any of the wide pasta selection and you would see yourself drifting away to dry pasta once you tried their version. Bistro Ravioli's very own Carbonara is said to have the classic Italian pancetta with egg sauce that is why it is rich and creamy. Another signature dish to try in Bistro Ravioli would be the pizza. Baked in a traditional brick oven, what do you expect? Of course, a perfectly- and heavenly-made picha pie! To continue what has been started in the old days, this pizzeria stayed true to the tradition by giving out the irresistibly light yet crispy and thin crust, while unlocking the natural Italian pizza flavors. For this date, we had Italian Sausage and Bacon Pizza. Topped with sliced meat, stuffed with lots of cheese, red tomatoes, and fresh veggies, I have no doubt why this is one of the bestsellers. And the best of all, from the label of the brand: ravioli! Bistro Ravioli is the home of the best ravioli! I tried the Three-Cheese Ravioli before but for that day, I had Spinach and Feta Cheese Ravioli in Pesto Sauce. The crew suggested it and geez, I could not ask for more! The combined filling of spinach and feta cheese melted on my taste buds and it savors so well, together with the roasted tomatoes and pesto that added bursts in my mouth. Totally 10 out of 10! Like, I can really give the yummy hand gesture, like the okay with kiss gesture, as in! Dada and I ordered the signature dishes, so make sure to jot down the names of the meals I said from above. Trust me, those food are palatable. Proven and tested and tasted by me, by us! But aside from the Italian favorites, know that this bistro also serves antipasti, chicken and barbeque, coffee, cold drinks, and desserts like gelato and its new creation: Creme Brûlée Cheesecake which is also a yes for me. You gotta try that unique one too. Bistro Ravioli is one of my favorite Italian restaurants. This is Dada's go-to place as well after attending the Sunday mass at Landmark. Eating here would always be fun because at least for some moments, Bistro Ravioli turns me into a real Italiana as it brings me closer to my European food dreams. I definitely recommend Bistro Ravioli because of its excellent dining experience at a pocket-friendly charge. Plus, the staff are so nice and the food are double-tap worthy.
