Almost similar to my published post last month, I will be featuring my favorite eats for this month! Yes, not just one, not even two, but three picks again! What makes these munchies memorable, I got them from the trustworthy people I know for a long time already. As in a long time, like way back from childhood, grade-school to high-school days, and ever since I was born. Uhuh, that long, and that is why I appreciate these goodies more because of the givers 💖 First on the July list? My Tita Carol! Well, apparently, she is not a blood-related kinda aunt. However! She has been guiding me since I was four, so that is wayyy beyond the kin affinity. Here is a shoutout to the Holy Town Mommies (aside from Ma and La) out there: Tita Carol, Tita Tess, and Ninang Lydia who have been supporting me since then! So? As part of paying back to them, particularly Tita Carol because she is the one who has this quarant-eats business, my sister and I bought some of her products like takoyaki, bacsilog, and longganisa! Tita Carol usually posts her menu for the day. Customers can pre-order, but you can also access the available food at the moment in her Facebook profile. Her bestsellers are the eight-(8) pieces takoyaki. Choose from plain, ham and cheese, and octobites. Let me tell ya, I love them all! But my personal fave? The plain takoyaki! I can taste the spicy, savory sauce better there! Aside from that, Tita also offers meal-silogs or sinangag/fried rice with itlog/egg variants. Ate and I mutually prefer her bacsilog above others! We just can't resist the cheesy goodness! Frozen viands like lumpia, longganisa, and more, as well as mango tapioca and jelly juice are offered. Oha, all-in! :) Tita Carol accepts cash-on-delivery and GCash payments. Sissy picks up our orders at their house because it is just walking distance, but she does shipping and meet-ups for those who wanna purchase her goods, too. If you wanna avail some, send Tita Carol or me a message here! The next one is not a small business. But it might be -- who knows? My best friend Rov is into baking since the quarantine period happened. I always get fascinated with her Instagram stories because she bakes with her niece almost every night! My childhood BFF joked if she could send us some cookies and she immediately agreed on it naman. Guess it is her lambing, too, since we were not able to see each other for three months! We do some chatting though, of course. But, our love language to each other is quality time and acts of service, so... Yeah, it shows. Even without words. So!!!!! Rov gave me these freshly-baked chewy chocolate cookies and moist banana bread plated in a cupcake liner. And geez, I love everything -- no joke! As in. My sweet-tooth self approves it! This is why I encouraged her to sell some goods for extra income. However, she said that this is just her hobby, her leisure activity, and nothing professional stuff, so okay. But I would definitely root her if she continues this to a biz, of course! Legit the sarap, I cannot! :((: Together with those yummy treats, Rov also gave me her long-overdue pasalubongs from Korea! Finally! Woohoo, the cheese noodles! And speaking of cheese, she also sent me cheese-flavored chicken from 24 Chicken! Grabe lang because she already helped Papa by renting him for her parents' errands, then I got to receive this pa! What did I do to deserve a person like her? Huhuhu. Rov's sweet nothings are truly meaningful! From a not showy and not verbal person, I super appreciate these efforts! Oh god, I miss her and Ivana and Baby and everyone else, ugh~ And for the last bullet in this write-up, but never the least: my beloved sister! Sissy -- yes, that is my endearment to her -- is a Hospitality and Restaurant Management graduate. She loves cooking ever since. This is why I had a slight silver lining when we were locked in this house for months. I got myself a chef! Being the bandwagoner that cc is as well, I and the fam were able to try the trending quarantine food because of her. The Dalgona coffee, Shakey's-recipe mojos, ube pandesals as featured in the previous article, and more? She foodie like that! And I love that about her! Saya because I get to eat her cravings like carbonara and maki due to these reasons. Hehee. Since my sister is working at Dunkin Donuts, I always get the exclusive treats from the store. It is not the influencer kind, but more of an insider. And this month, she gave me Macchiato and Cafe Mocha donuts! Yup, coffee-flavored doughnuts, woohoo! I prefer the Macchiato because it tastes like coffee better than the other. Usapang kape 'to kaya dun tayo sa mas ma-kopi! The Cafe Mocha is like Milo or Choco-Dinosaur drinks, basta something similar to that. Although no one can compare to the classic Bavarian, Boston Kreme, and Choco Butternut, I would love to order these DDonuts every day! Double-caffeine boost when partnered with coffee, eh? Iced or hot, aAaHhhhh, perfect combination! PS: My sis said this is a limited promo, so I am glad I tried them~ Sissy, same as me, supports small and local businesses. I instilled that thinking to her and this bunso is proud of her ate! Hihi. So we tried lots of online food already care/of her, but this account that I am gonna share is my top pick for July. It is The Baking Dawn! Actually, the owner of this booming biz is her college friend, [Ate] Dawn who loves the Twilight saga. Very witty, right? But it is not just that... Her pastries are the best! Sissy ordered Brazo de Mercedez, Floating Island, and Choco Butternut crinkles. I hate Brazo de Mercedez, to be honest, but this? This, I like! It tastes so sweet because of the meringue, but the custard is just so addicting that my tongue craves and searches for it. It is sweeter than the Floating Island even when that has three desserts in one. Curious about that, too? Well, the Floating Island, for those who do not know, is a mixture of Ube, Leche Flan, and Brazo de Mercedez in one pan. Just knowing those, alam mo nang masarap! Who would not love this purple yam, milky flan, and tasty cake, right? While the crinkles, also taste good! Chocolate-flavored the crinkles, then butternut-flavored the crumbs. My only comment there? The chocolate crinkles are so chewy that I feel like I am eating brownies and not crinkles. That is not a negative comment, but yeah. Nevertheless, I loved the amount of sugar rush in Ate Dawn's sweet treats! Indeed, my fave for this month! Thank you, Cc and Ate Dawn/The Baking Dawn!
