After saying that I still vote Seattle’s Best Coffee as my most favorite coffee and Coffee Project as the most Instagrammable cafe, I am now taking another side of the newest coffee shop in town: Tim Hortons. Similar to Buffalo Wild Wings, the Philippines is again chosen to have the first branch of this brand in Southeast Asia. Tim Hortons is a popular Canadian trademark when it comes to signature coffee blends and exceptional pastry goods. People are still raving about the Tim Hortons hype that is why I got curious and gave it a try… with... my loved ones! For my first visit, I was with my best friends Rov and Ivana. The girl friends, both of them, had Tim Horton’s favorite: Brewed Coffee, while I had the signature blended coffee: Iced Capp but Supreme. For the coffee, it was suggested to add two spoons of cream and sugar to give double oomph coffee taste. They had the decaffeinated coffee orders since it was past eight in the evening already. The besties also asked for some ice to make it an iced coffee. The staff allowed that and gave them cups though. Crazies, I know. Haha! As for the second one, I was with my Mama and Dada. Mama had a hot cup of cappuccino. I must say she liked it because Mama did not ask for sugar or creamer. Its mixture is perfect, I suppose. And as for me and Dada, another Iced Capp Supreme. I tried them all three already and I must say, I am excited to devour the Caramel next time. Iced Capps have this tang of ice cream, milk, and shake that are all combined to be one. I love the Hazelnut! But know that it is actually Vanilla that is the bestseller. Got shookt when Dada bought a dozen of doughnuts; six classics and six signatures. He wanted to give it to my parents daw. Such a leech. Kidding! Hahahahaha! So cute the staff at The Link branch because we were not asking but she suggested us that Apple Jitters and Honey Cruller are great for hot coffee. The cruller and strawberry shortcakes are indeed, the best! Must-tries like asdfghjkl!!!!! You would not regret. I swear. Aside from the signature coffees, Tim Hortons also offers hot chocolates, iced lattes, fruit smoothies, frozen lemonades, fruit coolers, and freshly brewed iced teas. There are also breakfast combinations available like sandwiches, paninis, and wraps to brighten the day up. Delights like biscuits, cookies, bagels, croissants, and muffins are worth trying too! :) Tim Hortons Various locations: http://timhortons.ph/locations http://timhortons.ph/ https://www.facebook.com/TimHortonsPhilippines/

After three years since its arrival in the Philippines last 2015, I, together with my parents, finally got the chance to dine at Buffalo Wild Wings, woohoo! Originated from the United States of America, this amazing food house flew all the way to Asia and chose our blessed country as the first of its kind on this continent. Buffalo Wild Wings, also known as BWW and B-Dubs, has always been known as a casual restaurant and a sports bar. No worries because whether you are a sports enthusiast or not, you would definitely have a great time here. This store has served for more than 30 years already and are continuing their legacy up until now through its buffalo wings and craft beers, and of course to complete the package, the wild and fun experience watching one's favorite sports in a stadium-like restaurant with the people same as your interests. Specializing in these competitive points: chicken, drinks, and sports, indeed, Filipinos shall totally love this place.
Similar to what I said previously, aside from being a comfort diner, it is also a bar. The open-layout bar is situated at the back where you can chill with your drinks in the high chairs while the children can play the gaming walls on the corner. Yup, even the kids would enjoy this food place! I told ya, everyone can have a fun time here at B-Dubs. Amazing, right -- I know! Buffalo Wings World is known for its "Blazin Wing Challenge" where customers are asked to eat a dozen of its hottest and spiciest and soul-kicking wings for only six minutes. Winners would get a complimentary shirt and a sense of pride. Haha! But aside from that, BWW features flatbreads, wraps, pasta, and rice meals that could also make you smile, sizzle, and scream. B-Dubs definitely offers shareables like nachos, mozzarella sticks, chips, and salsa as well. It also serves sides like coleslaw, onion rings, potato wedges; beefy burgers like Big Jack Daddy, Black and Bleu, and Juicy Steak; and limeades made with Sprite where you can choose from the refreshing flavors of classic lime, cherry, and blueberry -- perfect while streaming some games on the flat-screen TVs.
Must say that Buffalo Wild Wings still passed the score for me. But instead of a win or a lose, I wanna call it a tie. I shall say that I still believe that BWW can be a good place for the wings, beer, and sports experience so… Go guys and feel free to munch your palatable food and drink those beers responsibly as you sit anywhere you like and view the sports games that BWW features! Heehee. What made this visit exceptional for the fam would be its service. The employees are commendable and they are one big factor to love for this restau. My mom even bought her BFF Card from The Bistro Group because she believes with how this company trains their people. B-Dubs has tied up with this group of multinational company that makes it a sister company of TGI Fridays, Italianni’s, Denny’s, Baker & Cook, and Fish & Co. By Mama having this card, I can also sense that I have some pasimpleng reasons to visit these places then. Yas, this marketing strategy is a bait! Hahahahaha. Who knows, I might change my satisfactory grade to them to excellent in my future visit? Hmmmmm. We will see! :) Buffalo Wild Wings Ground Floor, Glorietta 1, Makati City (along Palm Drive) Ground Floor, Estancia Mall, Capitol Commons, Pasig City Level 1, Vista Mall, Sta. Because my Dada did! We decided to go to the famous Maginhawa Street, hoping we would eat at a fine dining restaurant and spend the rest of our night celebrating with some wine out there. Both of us were excited because this does not happen all the time and we missed this food track so much! However, the playful destiny got a trick on us. Our hype kinda went down when we arrived at the str-eat earlier than expected and realized that most of the restos shall still be closed until dinner time. So since our tummies were crackling noises already and we could not wait anymore, Dada and I settled to eat anywhere even if it is casual dining. There are still lots of next times, anyway. And that, that was how we landed at the food place called Naughty Nachos. Naughty Nachos is a sonorous snack bar strategically located at Magiting and Maginhawa in Teachers Village, Quezon City. It is one of the first food hubs people could see if you arrive from the University of the Philippines - Diliman (UPD) campus. By that, you must know that it is one of the favorite hangout places by the students and millennials. Dada told me how good the menu is, so I raised my bars with that being said. From the name itself, of course, nachos are their best thing. That is why Dada and I picked other choices in the bill of fare. We had sweet soy chicken wings, quarter-pounder burger, cheesy bacon fries, and the bestseller milkshake Better than Snickers or BTS. I must say that the wings are just okay. I think it can be glazed better. Or we should have tried another flavor. The burger, on the other hand, was so satisfying! Dada and I thought we could share it together but it is that good, we had to order one for each. And the milkshake? Too sweet for me. But I love Snickers! And the fries, I must say, would be my favorite. So cheesy but not nakakaumay! I have no single expectation for Naughty Nachos. It was a sudden visit so I was not able to research this restau. Thought I would be sad because plans changed but nah, I also liked that we ended here in this comfort food haven. The overall experience is not naughty. Actually, it is nice! Dada and I were able to save money because Naughty Nachos offers inexpensive chums but, with quality taste. Plus, the place has some board games that added the fun during our stay! Feel free to approach the staff and they would lend the toys to you. Go for the giant Jenga 'cause it is very enjoying! There are fun drawings all over the place as well that oomph-ed the experience. Simply pose to these walls and you shall say voila for your Instagram feed! Yeah yeah, I now know why millennials love to go here. It is like a lowkey hideout full of witty stuff. My heart forgot about the fancy dinner as the feelings turned over to the kidlike and cheery food house just as to what I like. At least, we still had a good time. That is all I, both, and all of us, ever want anyway :) Naughty Nachos 95 Magiting Street, corner Maginhawa, Quezon City https://www.facebook.com/NaughtNachos 2019 Update: I just knew that Coffee Project is owned by the Villar's. While I know the place shouts chill aesthetics and their coffee tastes undeniably good, I prefer local coffee shops that support our own farmers. Thus, cafe owners who do not speak lowly on other people. Yes, still leaving this article here, but I decided: no to CP anymore. |
