November 8 would always be a very special day for me and my family because it is the date when our wonderwoman, my Mama was born. No specific words could express how much I love this person. But Ma, you would always be my OG! You are my universe, my everything! Happy, happy, happy birthday, Mama! Thank you for being you! Yes, despite your imperfections and endless talaks. Hehe. I super duper di-duper love you so much! We do 💖
Knowing Mama, she is a strong person. And, she sees the good, albeit the not-so-good happenings around her. Papa was not around, but we still had a good time! We had bulalo, calamari, lumpia, kinilaw, and sisig, and all of these were delicious! The bulalo's meat was so malambot and the soup was so flavorful. V Pinoy, but it has this unique taste that's very malinamnam. The lumpiang shanghai were crispy, so nakakabitin -- I could finish it all by myself. Haha! As for the kinilaw, this was the only kinilaw I liked, I swear. I do not even eat my Lolo and Papa's kinilaw. Hehe. My favorite of all the orders would be the calamari! I know that the squids were fresh. Plus its batter? 10 out of 10! Perfect, either on rice or just as finger food. As expected too, the pork sisig was lit! Gerry's Grill is known for its bar-type vibe, eh? Talking about beers and pulutan and chill? Dito yun! To be honest, I did not expect that Gerry's Grill offers great food like these. Order these meals and I know, hindi ako mapapahiya sa inyo. Guess their menu improved? Or maybe the branch? Because back then, my comment would be like: sakto lang, ganun. But now? Ayos, pre! Sobra! Good choice that my grandparents chose this restaurant for tonight's dinner. Good job for the good food choices as well. Yay, yay! Happy tummy! And happy birthday! :) Ma, I know this is not the dream birthday dinner you imagined... But again, I reiterate my promise here in my safe space that your life celebration would be much better next year. And the next years! I will reassure that, Mama. Ako bahala. Tulad ng pag-bahala mo sa'kin, sa amin. Itaga natin 'to sa bato! #claimingit 💖 Mahal na mahal na mahal na mahal na mahal kita, Mama! I am so blessed I got you. Truly though, I will make it up with you talaga. I shall! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 Gerry's Grill Various locations: http://gerrysgrill.com, https://www.zomato.com/manila/restaurants/gerrys-grill https://www.gerrysgrill.com/ph/ https://www.facebook.com/gerrysgrill.com.ph

Sister Klaus has come to our town already! She started buying gifts for our relatives and her friends and brought the family to the malls, so she could buy us our Christmas presents. Got new shoes, yay! Thank you, sissy! And you're welcome, fam! You know naman what happens after shopping: eating time! I treated them at Yoshinoya, 'cause izz yo gh0rL, Mimi-kaela-aaha-ahaaah-oh yeah! Hahahahaha. Mimiyuuuh, ugh, the impact? Hahaha! Okay, back to being me now... So! :) The fam finished a little late, so we had a few food choices. Did not want the usual fast food because yes to healthier meals if possible. Good thing, Yoshinoya was still open at that time! I was craving for California maki, but like what I said, it was almost closing time already so, the stocks were already limited. But the fam still had fun tho! Mama had their OG Beef Ramen (gyudon beef, boiled egg, onion leeks, Japanese noodles, flavored broth, hot soup), Ate had Bento B which consists of mixed seafoods (squid rings, fish tempura, ebi tempura, sweet potato, rice, macaroni salad, tiramisu), while Papa and I had one of Yoshinoya's bestseller: Jumbo C (gyudon beef, tempura, and mixed vegetables with rice). Jumbo meals are usually for sharing of 2 to 3 people. But Paps and I had our own plates. Yes, two Jumbo C! Plus extra rice! Got tired from all the walking and shopping, huh? =))))) Hoping to go to Japan... I do not want to give a specific year because I might jinx it... I am goaling to could eat at Yoshinoya's branch in JP, too, someday! The franchise outlets here in the Philippines already serve good food, and I wonder if it is much more oishi there or just the same. Cuz yu-uh! So yum at Yoshinoya! aAaHhHhh, I just have such Japan travel fantasies, you know... So hopefully! Hopefully! *does the sign of the cross, lord plz, sealed with the sign of the cross, hahaha* Yoshinoya - Philippines Various locations: https://www.yoshinoya.com.ph/locations/ https://www.yoshinoya.com.ph https://www.facebook.com/YoshinoyaPhil/ |
