Oh my gooooooosh, I am turning 24 in a few days! :))))): I am not sure if I told this in the blog already, but I have this so-called pre-makeover plans -- my must-do list before stepping into another chapter of my journey. I usually do this before my birthday, the new year, or whenever as long as I feel like I am having the start of something new 💖 It has been four or five years since I had this self-care tradition. And! One of my favorite parts would always be the taking of photo (or photos--knowing me!! lol) that represents who I am during that time of state. For my twenty-third year, I believe that this/these portray/s me the most: Aside from the dreamy white dress I wore during my 23rd birthday, I dressed up in this red dress, too. After taking all the pictures at the Bali-like haven in Batangas, me and my family had some time to sneak a swim in the spring pools. And so, this is what I wore after. I remember that I posted one picture wearing this, but as a group photo. I have pictures wearing this at Taal, but since that was just a side trip, I decided to just keep them. There is not so much exposure to this beautiful dress at that time, but here it is now! I got this bloody-colored, midi dress from Copper, a local fashion brand that features affordable yet quality street styles and trendy pieces -- and I love this dress so much!!!!! 💖 This represents the Ela point two and tree because... Similar to the dress' color: red; my favorite color, I have been filled with love despite every bad thing I experienced, plus, I have been passionate in my craft this year. Yay, right! The manually-tied ribbon exhibits improvement because, from nothing, I know that I can be ~something~ in time, too. I can tie this ribbon with different styles, and that is how I learn and how I would reach my most beautiful phase! While the heart-shaped Forever21 sunglasses, it shows the unlimited happy days. It tells that life is all about being happy, doing what you want, living without regrets. The layered necklaces, on the other hand, symbolize the continuous blessings I received from God; the universe; the forces. As essential as a necklace -- since I can't leave the house not wearing one -- IRDK how to live without my favorite hoomans, too! 💖 The earrings, denim jacket, and boots? To be honest, I just styled it that way because they look good with the dress. Haha! But that is how it goes anyway, right? Being your true self while finding where you belong! :) Like those earrings, they are my usual, everyday accessories. Nothing new, but it is a classic to me. Since I do not want to go all-out, wearing the red dress alone, I had a denim jacket. My conservative tita self was screaming, so I need to cover up. I had a hard time pairing the dress, but so glad I found this. And geez, those H&M boots, aAHhHh -- added oomphs that made the overall OOTD very me. 'Cause this is really me; my personality; my style: kikay, yet not pamigay + girly, but also edgy + comfort and style. Yes, always opting for the best of both worlds! I got my innate gifts and my same old habits. However, I am welcoming the new. And this is it! It's coming now in 3...2...1! 💖
