What time is it? Suh-mmer-time! It's our vacation! Did you sing while reading the introduction too? Hah! Yuuup, the summer season is here once again whether we like it or not! This temporarily means that you can keep your thick sweaters and long sleeves in the closet for now, and time to flaunt that bright bathing suit and cropped rash guard you have been wanting to wear since forever! This is that wonderful time to go out with our loves and bond with Mr. Sun outside the city. I said this already. That I used to have a mindset last 2017 to go somewhere new every month. Or not. So last November, my parents decided to go to our hometown once again. I badly needed some fresh air that was why I super wanted to come with them. However, I do not want it to be like the previous staycations. I said to myself, I want to visit a different place. And so I looked at the internet and searched for nearby beaches in Villasis. Well, Pangasinan has been known for its beautiful beaches. Yet, there is a sad truth that it takes long hours going to those paradises and we cannot do that since we were only staying overnight. Dasol, Burgos, and Lingayen soon! Yet for now, let's just go somewhere close. Little do I know there is this good'ol blue beach in Dagupan? Yas, Tondaligan Beach! Tondaligan Beach is new to me. Us, actually. It was our first time to go here. Though a cousin of ours already went here before, she said it changed big time and it has been better. If you are wondering, it is located in the Lingayen Gulf and is adjacent to the Bonuan Blue Beach. Dagupeños have this Sea Festival or Pista't Dayat that is celebrated here every first of May. So you know... Laboracay, Ilokano way! *haha* This Tondaligan Beach is actually a public beach. Meaning: no entrance fee is needed. There are tables, benches, and cottages around -- perfect for day tours. We rented one table for PhP 150, good for three hours. It also has videoke and food places along its shores and like what is said on the Facebook page, it is indeed a recreational beach haven. I can say that Tondaligan Beach is a hidden getaway that is waiting to be discovered. The moment I saw the waters and felt the wind, I knew this has a potential for surfing. It made me miss Baler as I saw the big waves crashing to the shoreline. More so when the kids played skimboarding that late afternoon. I was a little tempted to join them but I enjoyed lying down more as the grayish, fine sand caresses my skin. The trees and plants around also give some shade so the scorching heat is much bearable. Well yes, there are people who are visiting the place already but it remains uncrowded and unspoiled. I really hope the locals would take care of this amazing creation by Mother Earth for pastel-skied sunsets and big waves blending with the sand is such a picture-perfect view. SML! Unplanned experiences are always the best! And actually, this day kinda triggered two things in me. One, as I turn to realize that I have that beach babe soul. Two, the want to discover places that no one still does not know. I've loved the feeling running through my veins since it was I who discovered this place. I mean... I did not but, it is still currently unknown and IDK but it feels like an achievement for me. Haha! Having a great time with the fam and seeing how happy they are? It gave me true peace and genuine happiness as well. Thanks to Tondaligan Beach, I was reminded to breathe. That I should not overthink everything and just appreciate how good a simple life can be especially with the people I love the most. So to more realizations while strolling in the beach, cheers! 💖 Tondaligan Beach Tondaligan Road, Bonuan, Dagupan, Pangasinan http://www.tondaliganbeach.com/
