Happened to know that Sta. Clara's feast day is celebrated every August 11th. Qt how Dada and I went here to offer our prayers -- with the eggs which we should not forget! -- a day before her festivity. Aww, right? During the past days, people bring eggs for Sta. Clara for good weather. Because in Spanish, La Clara means egg whites and claridad means good weather. But now, people also give eggs for other intentions already. Outside the church, you can buy eggs wrapped in colorful bits of cellophane where each color represents a certain intention. I chose the eggs for studies and dreams. Of course, every one of us has fantasies we wanna live on, right? Right! The first thing to see upon entering the Monastery of St. Claire would be the wishing fountain. Next to it is the statue of St. Claire where visitors can pray, light candles, and offer sampaguitas. There are prayer booklets at the side if you want to meditate a novena as well. Walking towards would lead you to the main church. And at the extremity, there are tables and chairs where the devotees write their prayers, intentions, and wishes. There are papers, pencils, and pens there so, no worries if you were not able to bring these. Here is also the place one officially offers the sanguine eggs to the cloistered nuns. It is not allowed to take pictures inside the offertory area to save the sacredness of the prayers and intentions. Whatever that is (or are) you are praying about, just trust God... and His timing. It will happen if it will. So never stop! Do your best and keep on praying. Manalig ka, darating din lahat yan! :) Monasterio Real de Sta Clara de Manila/ Monasterio de Sta.
