Tagaytay, one of the most popular quick getaways from the hustle and bustle of the metro, would always be included in my travel list every year. I did not blog about that day yet (so I inserted it here in this post lol) but, it was more than a year already when my family went here. Actually, that was how our day tour travel goals ignited. Just ten months ago, on the other note, Dada and I celebrated our sixth anniversary in this scenic, high-elevated tourist destination in Cavite. I have a post regarding it, you might wanna read it too. And a few days ago, here I am again, spent the weekend with my past officemates turned friends for life. *yay*
MAIN ATTRACTIONS Sky Ranch Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway, Kaybagal South, Tagaytay, Cavite As much as the squad wanted to stay in the condo, of course, we were already in Tagaytay so might as well explore new places instead. Stiff and I were really aiming at going out too. And of course, le blog purposes for me and Ate Jessa. Hehehe. And so! We went to Sky Ranch. This was not my first time in this amusement park. During my first, I was with Dada (then the fam stayed outside). Our tickets back then were from MetroDeal. Got them for just PhP 350, we had the ride-all-you-can pass and swear, that was such a thrift because each ride costs PhP 100 to PhP 250! Since I tried them all rides already, I decided to only avail the entrance fee and be the Mama of the group who takes care of the things while they were playing and be the paparazzi who takes unforgettable memories through photos. Not so much have changed in the park, only the additional pasalubong centers. Still the same, old, fun, good though. FOOD TRIP Sonya's Garden Brgy. Buck Estate, Alfonso, Cavite If you are looking for a hearty and healthy lunch, Sonya's Garden is the best place to go! Known for its lush flower gardens, bed and breakfast, spa, and wedding events, this restaurant also boasts the freshest salads, breads, pasta, and desserts you would surely love. It is a greenhouse resto (literally and figuratively!) that offers greenery pleasures whether you are on a diet or not. Bag of Beans Various locations: https://www.bagofbeans.ph/contact Nothing to say about Bag of Beans because it already spoke for itself! Bag of Beans is one of the most popular restaurants in Tagaytay that tourists should never miss. Since it is always a blockbuster, the management was able to expand five more branches in Tagaytay! Each branch has different interiors where each would make you impressed, but expect that the food are unchanged -- all exceptional, outstanding, and best-tasting. Kookay's Foodhouse 53 Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway, KM61, Brgy. Mendez East, Tagaytay City One of the newest in town, Kookay's Foodhouse is definitely standing out because of its unicorn-landia interior theme and yummy, colorful, inexpensive food -- all perfect for kids and kids at heart. Just like any usual unicorn hub, they offer onesies for the customers. The ball pit, though small, is fun! I got to play with the kids and feel like a little girl again. Haha. Additional info that this quaint eating place is located around the area of Bulalo Point area of Tagaytay. So whether you are wanting a dessert, or just something different from the usual, you might wanna pay a visit here. Dreamland Arts & Crafts Cafe Purok 157, Brgy. San Jose, Tagaytay City Been here last November and oh my gosh, they made a big revamp! Dreamland Arts & Crafts Cafe has leveled up its restaurant into three parts, and even added a boutique B&B (bed and breakfast) in their offerings already. The main resto has turned into a crafts store but you can still dine on the mini-second floor if you want too. The rooftop they were calling before, with all the hammocks and swings all, has turned into a full dining place already. The newest and renovated area is the main dining hall now. I do not know what to feel because I kinda liked the interiors more before. But know that the service improved so no more waiting game guys! You can now go here even with your hungry tummies already. And the food, uh, still incredible. And still open 24/7. Caffe' Nativo Tagaytay-Calamba Road, Tagaytay, Cavite Near to where we were staying, Caffe' Nativo caught our eyes immediately because of its striking colors. But going inside, the wall arts are dedicated to the Philippines pala! And that is why I recommend it. Hashtag Pinas muna! Hihihi. Aside from the ambiance, Caffe Nativo's great-tasting coffees and all-day breakfast meals are must-tries. They also sell coffee beans if you wanna take some home. Additional photos from last weekend: Thanks to my loving family, friends, and confidante, I have a lot of memories in Tagaytay that would never die. So then... Tagay para sa Tagaytay! *hoorayayayay*

Welcomed my new year with all things extra! I started my twenty-third so right, oh-so-right, I can feel the light. Because... First: my bright day fell on a Saturday; second: I spent it with my beloved family and we really had a great time; and third: we traveled to somewhere new, in Batangas this time. It feels so good the family has been going out-of-town, visiting out-of-the-country-like destinations this year. Just like last May, we paid a visit to the Paris City Cafe in Clark, Pampanga. Last June, we ate in a Portuguese-vibe restaurant called Peri-Peri Charcoal and Chicken. And recently, on my b-day, here at the Bali of Batangas! Yup, you heard that right! The Bali nests of Wanagiri Hidden Hill has now a local version here in the Philippines -- all thanks to Villa Jovita! 💖
THE DAY TOUR EXPERIENCE Stepping inside the Villa Jovita, you would sense the abrupt-yet-good feeling as the trees say hi, the air touches your skin, the greens connecting to you. The whole resort has a lush scenery of greens -- way too different from the other side of Batangas where blues are more dominated. There are a lot of things you can do here in the resort. But of course, it would be the riverside spring pools that would always be one of their best tourist attractions. Villa Jovita has five pools all in all. The three natural-stream pools are interconnected to one another so the water from the highest area can flow down to the most bottom level, then straight ahead to the river. Since they are spring pools, they have clear and cold waters. Thus, no chemicals added. The non-chlorinated swimming pools are surrounded by the swaying bamboo trees, making the dip literally closer to nature and more intimate to meditation. And just this September of the year, Villa Jovita shared to the people their Bali-inspired corner with different nests made out of hard and refined woods, and the giant swing that seems daunting at first but actually fun you would not want to get down anymore. Haha! After a few weeks since this nook opened, the fam decided to go here and continue the legacy we have been making this year to go to destination-like places. Got no plans for my day anyway so of course, g! Because indeed, there is no need to fly to Indonesia just to get these double tap-worthy photos. Villa Jovita has made a good impression for this because it really looks like you are in Bali. Though you guys have to know that this is only nice for picture purposes, like, it is just for-your-eyes-only kind of thing. Hundreds of likes on your photos would be amazing but just a gentle reminder that attitude matters the most. Everyone wants the same beautiful shot as yours so, do not forget to act nicely, give respect to each other, and please, please, please stop photobombing in order for everyone to have a good time, and all will be well as well. A little spoiler that we even saw that they are still making additional nests to hop on! One of these days, more nests might come your way. *wink wink*
Aside from the clear pools, Bali-like spots, tabing-ilog nostalgia it gives, the reason Villa Jovita is standing out would be because of the zen feeling it takes in one's body and soul. It is one secret getaway that would be wonderful if you want some chill moments with the flora and fauna. For it is a fact that Villa Jovita is a great recreation place any type of person would love to take a vacation to :) Villa Jovita Barangay Santa Cruz, Agoncillo, Batangas https://www.facebook.com/Villa-Jovita-453065921704808/ |
